Orange Ricotta Cake

Delicious and light Italian orange cake made with ricotta cheese and fresh orange.

Italian Orange Ricotta Cake is a simple and tasty recipe that's great for a light dessert or sweet breakfast treat.

All you need is ricotta cheese, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, orange, baking soda, salt, and all purpose flour.

Start by beating together the butter and sugar. Add in the ricotta and mix on high for 4-5 minutes until light and fluffy.

Add in the eggs, vanilla, orange juice, orange zest, baking soda, and salt. Mix well then add in the flour.

Grease a 9 inch springform pan with butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Shake out excess sugar.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

The cake is done when a toothpick comes out clean and the sides pull away from the pan.
