Nduja Pasta

Authentic Calabrian-style pasta made with Nduja spread, San Marzano tomatoes, and rigatoni!

Nduja Pasta is a quick and easy pasta dish that's full of flavor. Made with nduja, a spicy spreadable salami from Calabria Italy.

All you need is olive oil, rigatoni, onion, garlic, basil, canned tomatoes, and 'Nduja sausage or spread (see post for buying options)

Calabrese Nduja, pronounced "en-DOO-ya", is a spicy, spreadable Italian salami made with pork, red peppers, and a variety of spices.

Start by sautéing onions and garlic in a bit of olive oil until they soften; about three minutes.

Add in the 'nduja and cook for about a minute to allow it to melt into the onions and garlic.

Pour the canned whole San Marzano tomatoes into a bowl and crush them by hand.

Pour the crushed tomatoes into the saucepan and let simmer for 10-15 minutes while the pasta cooks.

Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce adding a bit of pasta water to loosen up the sauce if needed. Top with basil.

This spicy and flavorful pasta is best served warm with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top.
