Baked Mostaccioli

Start by browning the Italian sausage in a large dutch oven with the onion and garlic. Add in the canned tomato sauce and seasonings.

Once the sauce is done, add in the cooked mostaccioli pasta. You can always substitute with penne or ziti.

In a separate bowl, stir together the ricotta, egg, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.

Assemble the baked mostaccioli by layering in half of the pasta mixture, then spoon on all of the ricotta mixture.

Top with the remaining pasta mixture and then sprinkle on mozzarella cheese. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
